Kotex Very
Personally Yours
puberty & menstruation booklet, 1948
(complete)
Below:
Pages 15-16
What a surprise to find the
booklet praising
Allah (below,
second-to-last line, p. 15, at
left)! But think how just as odd
it would have been to see Thank God!
in its place. I believe that
relegates "praise Allah!" to the
level of "Confucius say . . . ,"
in other words something the
average American might utter
tongue in cheek with no thought
(or knowledge) of the respective
beliefs. The 1940s were wise-guy
times in the U.S.
See an early ad showing the price of
Kotex.
