Menstrual pad napkin belts
Sears, Roebuck catalog, 1928
The American Sears, Roebuck and Company advertised these napkin belts
in a 1928 catalog. Sears sold an amazing array of belts (including a "trousseau"
belt!) until the introduction of the adhesive menstrual pad in the early
1970s, which almost killed the industry. How did
they look when worn? See also a Swedish ad
from the 1970s.
Sears in 1928 also sold menstrual underpants
and aprons.
