Douching was big business in America and was eerily like the colonic irrigation in vogue today - just one hole over. "Neglect can only result in ill health, hasten old age and destroy attractiveness. If robust health and the charm and vigor of youth are to be retained the most scrupulous personal cleanliness must be practised - internally as well as externally." "A Prominent Physician" wrote that in the last paragraph.
