Do You Have Irregular Menses?
If so, you may have polycystic ovary syndrome.
Jane Newman, Clinical Research Coordinator at Brigham
and Women's Hospital, Harvard University School of Medicine, asked
me to tell you that
Irregular menses identify women at high risk for polycystic ovary syndrome
(PCOS), which exists in 6-10% of women of
reproductive age. PCOS is a major cause of infertility
and is linked to diabetes.

research on PCOS at Brigham and Women's
Hospital, the University of Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania State University

If you have fewer than six
periods a year, you may be eligible to participate

Growing Up's Not Easy
Last week I received this letter and a story, which appears on another page because it is so long. Normally I do
not print writers' names - many people prefer to be
anonymous when discussing menstruation - but Michelle had already
printed this story in her zine.
Dear Harry,
Hi! A while ago I wrote a story about my
experience with puberty and growing up for my zine. I thought about this
Web site which has taught me so much and I thought I would share it with
you.
Thanks for all you've done for me, and womyn like myself.
Michelle
