Ad for the Kotex booklet
"As One Girl To Another"
(1942)
Read the words at the beginning:
Kotex was certainly willing to save
mothers the trouble of discussing the
undiscussible - or so many felt - with
this booklet, below, in the early
1940s.
Kotex put out at least one earlier
booklet, Marjorie
May's
Twelfth Birthday (1928), with
very old-fashioned
language. (See two ads promoting
it, in 1932
and 1933.)
Here's the whole
booklet itself.
The ad appeared in December 1942,
one year into the Second World War for
the United States.
