is the selling point in the next three ads, but the fourth shows no sign
of it, which the 1906
food and drugs act probably banned. The ad is from July
10, 1885, The Delta Herald, Pennsylvania.
"Safe and always reliable" - for abortion?
The r's in Chichester's
disappears in the fourth and succeeding ads.
