Dr. R. V. Pierce's World's Dispensary Medical Association, Buffalo, New York, U.S.A.
Ladies Note Book and Calendar (1914), complete
About women's diseases, cancer, digestive illness, fatigue, headache, female weakness, gynecology, tumors, nervous diseases, patent medicine, and menstruation

American doctors in the 19th and early 20th centuries sometimes offered their own medicines and diagnoses through the mail, among them Dr. R.V. Pierce, probably the second biggest maker of these medicines after Mrs. Lydia Pinkham.

This booklet typifies similar booklets in its extraordinary claims for healing and its use of testimonials, which once got his competitor into trouble.

Below: The paper booklet - a staple binds it on the short side,
as below, which shows the back (above) and front covers - contains
pages measuring 3 1/4 x 5 1/2" (8.3 x 13.8 cm).
The color appears only on these covers, not inside.
The 5.00 on the upper right corner probably gives the
dollars someone paid for it.
